I like this!! I would add a fudge factor into the time, though, to be

I'd love to know the reaction.....
"just for you, because I like you-- I really like you -- I tell you what
I'm gonna do. I'm gonna give you all the words for free, except the
first one. I'm just gonna charge you for that one little word! And I'm
even gonna do this - but don't tell the sales manager -- I'm gonna let
you pay for that word over time, say 3 months, in easy weekly
installments. You know, I could get fired for this, but you're good
people, and I like you."
It could work, if you can imitate a Brooklyn accent... :-)
