I should have added, "I'm sorry, did you work at Nortel?" I'm not trying to
belittle anyone's situation, but it does have a very large element of truth
to it (which was your point, and I noticed your Cisco domain :).
For those who don't understand the reference, Nortel is the largest
private-sector employer in Ottawa and by far the largest employer of
technical writers in this area. Nortel is also in the midst of a massive
layoff, and we all know who gets the boot first ... okay, perhaps *after*
Marketing and Manufacturing, but not by much ...
