Hello,

We are using Source Safe to store Word files. It works fine and now we
are trying to use the Source Safe keyword expansion inside these Word
files.

We have tried successfully with several Source Safe keywords like $Date,
$Revision, or $Author. So we write something like:

$Date:: $
$Revision:: $
$Author:: $

and Source Safe replaces it with:

$Date:: 11/06/01 9.43 $
$Revision:: 1 $
$Author:: Pmarañon $

However, when we tried to expand the $History keyword, the file obtained
or checked-out from Source Safe cannot be opened by Word (it gives a
warning saying it is not a Word file). I suppose the problem has
something to do with the fact that the keyword $History is expanded by
Source Safe into several lines of text.

Does anybody know a solution to this problem?

Thanks

José
