Subject:Word 97, copy-pasted graphics, file size From:EXT-lasse -dot- haggman -at- nokia -dot- com To:"TECHWR-L" <techwr-l -at- lists -dot- raycomm -dot- com> Date:Thu, 7 Jun 2001 1:12:13
hello,
I guess this must have been asked many times, but I could not find anything
useful from the archives or FAQs anywhere (I'm a new subscriber).
Anyway, I'm using Word 97 SR-2 and Windows 95. I'm updating the screen
shots in the document (about 160 pages) and the size of the document is
growing fast (40 Megabytes at the moment). From past experience with Word I
know that the document may soon just explode and vanish into the air.
So, the question is: could someone please give me somehints about
diminishing the file size of Word docs, especially as regards graphics, but
I think fonts may be a factor here as well. I guess trying to separate the
graphics from the text into individual files and then using links would be
a solution, but a faster trick would be appreciated.
thanks in advance,
Lasse Häggman
