I've been mulling over David's comments on the differences between geeks
and readers, and would like to ask David--or others who are interested--to
expand on a few things.

First of all, the term "model": is this shorthand for "construct a mental
model"? I'm not sure I'm understanding the term correctly.

Secondly: how does minimalism ignore geek/reader differences? How does it
falsely assume "modeling" behavior? I'm not posing these questions
rhetorically--I really would like to hear more on this.
