I'd say adopt some conventions,perhaps something like:

Symbol		meaning

--+		solder in, polarity matters
+--

...		solder in, either way around

Use those for all the standard cases. Perhaps also colour codes, like yellow
for mechanically fragile parts, red for heat-sensitive, orange for both ...

This makes the special instructions stand out as they should.
