There is a point in the technology adoption cycle when the only thing that
exists are betas of some technology that isn't even a product yet. Technical
enthusiasts will put the technology to use without any documentation. And,
they will be the people who write the first third-party manuals on it. By
the time manuals are published for the mainstream products implemented with
the technology, the hackers have found the holes, so the defects can be
exploited as the products are installed.
