Bruce Byfield commented on the "Applications will be judged on your CV, so
make them pretty!" ad:

But it's possible (as is the case at our company) that the person who wrote
the ad is an HR recruiter and not the manager of the department where you
would be working. So the office/cubicle decor or personal habits of the ad
writer wouldn't really matter, since they live in a different world.
