Good point. I went off digest mainly to increase my ability to use the
wonderful glorious splendiferous Delete key. (Bow, bow, to the
Delete-key-elect...) I find the archives tend to take two or three searches
before I can pinpoint helpful information anyway.

The point I was mainly trying to make was about novices asking questions: I
believe one of the functions of this list is to support novice tech writers
(or even experienced techwrs in new situations <g>) and that the appropriate
course of action is to point the newbie at the appropriate online resource
without snide comments. About anything. :-?
