Re: Web Writing: Numbers - spell out or not?

I thought the point of the original question was whether there was any good
reason for a different convention in writing for the Web vs. writing for had
copy. I can't think of any overriding reason to vary from the convention of
spelling out numbers through ten, and using numerals for higher numbers (with
the usual exceptions, of course). Then again, I don't do a lot of reading on the
Web. (I get migraines, and I find it's easier on my eyes and my head to print
and read long articles rather than reading them on a monitor.)

I'm not seeing anyone address the question of whether the Web is such a
different animal that it requires different rules. I'd be interested in that
angle.
