I am currently documenting a development tool with a CheckBox property. Spelled
just like that. I would not, however, write "Select the whatis CheckBox." in
user instructions, but rather, "Select the whatis check box."

Don't know of any rules off the top of my head (or the bottom of it either, and
after the documenting week from Hell that is still here, I don't guarantee
coherent thinking, either), but my preference is check box.
