Good morning, techwhirlers -

I have a PageMaker 6.5 document that won't print because of a link
problem. The error I'm getting is "Can't process publication's links -
Internal error: Bad record index." Interestingly, I also get this error
when I first open the file, but if I click 'Continue', the file opens.

The only links that I have are text blocks from other files (usually Word)
for which I used File>Place. My link defaults, however, are to copy the
text into the file and not maintain the link. I suppose I could go in and
retype in all the text by hand (and thus erasing any trace of the link),
but I'd really rather not have to do that.

I have checked the Adobe KnowledgeBase, techwr-l archives, and even
(gasp!) the documentation, but to no avail. If anyone has any ideas, could
you please email me privately? I'll summarize and post responses to the
list.

TIA,
Amy

The Web is one big library, albeit a library with 1,500 different card
catalogs, annoying men in loud suits carrying advertisements up and down
the stacks, and the occasional strobe light in the rare materials section.
