FYI: This problem is occurring in MS Word. The caps key slipped when I typed "Word" in the subject.

I am hoping that one of you will be able to help me out. I had a call this morning from a client who has a situation I have never seen before. I am hoping that in your experience you might have come across not only the problem, but the solution.

Reported problem: "Suddenly" this morning, the results of underlining text on his computer changed. He reports that the underline used to run below the descenders, and now runs through them. We checked various fonts, all now run through the descenders instead of underneath. It shows the same on both the printer and the screen.

As I have never seen an underline run below the descenders, I was not able to help him. Have you ever seen this, and do you know any way he can get them back the way they were (below the descenders)?

I appreciate any help you can provide. I will (of course) give you credit when reporting any answer you have.

Thank you!
