Brian Hoskins suggested a quill pen behind the right ear. Maybe he's on the
right track. In the Boy Scouts the badge worn by the Troop/Post Scribe is a
quill pen. The US Navy rating badge for a Yeoman is crossed quill pens. So
... how does a slide rule crossed by a quill pen strike you? The quill pen
representing the writer's craft and the slide rule representing technology.
