Hallo:

I understand the images look great in FrameMaker. How do they print from
FrameMaker? Great? If so, either:

1) Your compression settings in Distiller's Job Options are too high: try
turning off all compression to see if that fixes things. If it does, play
with the compression settings until you find a happy medium, between file
size and image quality.

2) You are using the wrong printer to create your PDFs. Don't use PDFWriter.
Don't use any printer driver associated with any "physical" printer (i.e.,
an HP, Xerox, or the like). **Do** use the Adobe Distiller printer, created
using the latest Adobe PS driver for your OS plus the Distiller PPD. For
more info about this, run over to
http://www.adobe.com/support/forums/main.html, log in, and checkout the FAQ
thread in the FrameMaker forum.

Cheers,

Sean
