Ah, this is always a source of worry for the tech
writer. Errors are embarrassing on a cover letter for
the non-tech writer, but it can be a reflection on the
entire work ethic of the person who is a tech writer.

I think it really depends on the nature of the error.
If it is a single misspelled word, it probably does
not merit a follow-up E-mail; although, if it is a
word such as their/there/they're or another misused
homonym, it may be worth a follow-up.
