Paid by the day

Hi, guys...last week, I sent my notification to my agencies that I
was starting the search for the next contract effective beginning of
March.

I had an agency come to me with a different way of payment than what
I'm used to (contractor, paid by the hour).

Their proposition was for me to be paid as a contractor at $600/per
day instead of by the hour..it is for an 8 hour day, the rate per day
holds to up to 10 hours per day, and over than, I get hourly. If i
work less than 8, still the same rate per day.

Anyone work under this arrangement? If so, was it a good deal for you
or for them? Thanks.
