Its not the server, its probably your machine. Here are two suggestions:

1) If you have a drive mapped to the old server, disconnect it. Each time your
computer goes out to the network it is making a NetBIOS ping. It has to wait to
receive a response to that ping. That will slow down ALL network access.
Disconnect all drives that are mapped to any machines that are off line.

2) In Frame, if you dropped in the images by reference then the problem is
compounded even more. Each time it goes to load an image it has to search for
it. Make sure to remap a drive to the new server and use the same drive letter
as the old one. This should replenish all your links.

If all your references in frame were to the old machine NetBIOS name and not a
mapped drive - you're going to rename all those references to point to the new
server. (That's why it is better to use mapped drives and not NetBIOS names.
You can swap out the mapping and not break all the references.)
