Just discovered that is Ziff-Davis's current online
education service aimed at individuals (ElementK seems to be more
employer-focused). Pricing for SmartPlanet courses is more like the old
ZDU's (some free courses, $15.95/month for access to most others).
Continuing Education Units are available. I'll check this one out, too -

Donn, thanks for the tip. Unfortunately, ElementK's prices are significantly
higher than ZDU's were (annual subscriptions to specific tracks start at
$179), making the classes less practical for the individual learner. Makes
me wish I'd known I'd want to learn this stuff while ZDU was still around!
