Jonathan, I've had very good results using 35mm film and having Kodak
publish it to cd as well as colour prints. The quality of the jpegs
(500-700kb) is very good. I used 35mm ->cd for architectural pics and you
could really zoom into the detail of the brickwork, and compressed copies of
the images are about as good as 30k web jpegs get. The quality is presumably
because they are using high end negative scanners.

It will work ok, but it's not as great as the digital camera. I believe to =
get really good scans from a film camera, you will have to use a slide/nega=
tive scanner. A basic model will run about $500 and will do a decent job =
as long as your output isn't much greater than a 5x7. For larger output, =
be prepared to spend $1,500 to $15,000, depending on how serious you want =
to get."
