Great response, Chris...I needed that on this slow Friday afternoon...the
sun is out in central Texas, the flood waters are retreating, and the
animals on the ark are restless.
Those of us in the tech comm "inner circle" know IM is common sense
information organization and presentation, but IM is not just offered to
writing/pubs groups. I don't have to repeat here that most technical people
outside of our profession have difficulty not just writing clearly, but
organizing their thoughts. These folks take to IM methods with sighs of
relief, because it provides them with the basics of what we've known for a
long time.
IM has its place, and I've seen it make a difference in organizations
outside of tech comm...
