I read an article in, of all places, the New Yorker, several years ago that it's
(contraction of it is) is being kicked out of our vernacular and its is
replacing it. People on ICQ, etc. drop the apostrophe because its (ha!) faster
typing.

Can't say I like it, just tossing it out for discussion.
