No, they were all HR and accounting folks, many filling in at other jobs to
cover for the people who were off that day.

In fact, McDermott is a former electrician and self-taught software guy who
did a little tech writing on the side... like how to make bombs (directions
on his web site).

Most of us in the MA-NH high-tech community feel very sad -- and a bit
vulnerable -- about what happened in Wakefield. Many of us know or have
known people like McDermott. Some of us have friends who work at Edgewater.
Could have been anyplace. Really makes you think.
