Kent, consider yourself spanked...some say I do a fine job of it :~)
Seems like your corollary questions were discussed recently, but perhaps
that was on another list. Anyway, fwiw I count the title page as page i
(front matter has roman numerals) and the first page of chapter 1 as
page 1 (text has arabic numerals). Neither the title page nor the TOC is
listed in the TOC. IMO anyone who has to use the TOC to find the title
page or the TOC needs more help than my docs can provide.
