Herm:

I've been writing proposals off and on for 22 years (about $50M in contract
and joint-venture awards mostly in the private sector) starting with my days
as a research geological oceanographer (NOAA-U.S. Dept. of Commerce) right
on up to my most recent experience writing business-to-business eCommerce
proposals ($10M in 12 months last year). My book, entitled "Desiging B2B
eCommerce Proposals that Win New Business" will be out in 2001.

I too prefer proposal work over most other types of documentation.
