After a data dictionary (database file) is exported for use in a
document, the dictionary contents for many data fields exceed the page
boundary, and the field is repeated at the top of each successive page.
In FrameMaker, I tag the text in this field for use in the TOC. Thus
duplicate TOC entries result for data fields whose dictionary
descriptions exceed one page in the FrameMaker output.

1. Is there an automated way to delete duplicate entries in the
FrameMaker TOC file?

2. Since the same format used for the FrameMaker TOC is also used for
PDF bookmarks, duplicate bookmarks result. Is there a way to eliminate
these duplicates in the PDF file?

Unix users regarding #1: has anyone tried to use uniq -u to do this on
the text file of a TOC? I can't find a way to use field options to
ignore the page numbers, since the page numbers make every entry unique.

Thanks,
