I can answer that specifically. Last spring I did a survey of 100 TW job
offers in the Silicon Valley. Of the 100, 65% required/requested
knowledge of FrameMaker, 46% HTML, 33% Word, 25% relational databases,
24% RoboHELP, 23% UNIX, 22% Acrobat, 19% Win NT, 15% Java, 13% Excel, and
11% Visio. Tied at 10% were SQL, C, Illustrator, and PDF.

My guess is that now there would be a significant increase in requests
for knowledge of XML.
