Is it just coincidence thast I've been to two fast food restaurants
in the last month where the kid behind the counter (late teens)
couldn't make change?

One of them, my bill was for $9.67 and I gave him a 10. By mistake,
he entered 9.67. When the register came up 0, he asked me how much
change should I get. I thought he was kidding...he asked me again.

We're not talking about inner city or rural south...this is
middle/upper class NJ.

The second instance was similar.
