The department I work in is planning to implement an ISO 9001:2000-compliant
quality management system (I realize this is still a draft standard). We are
working against a very aggressive schedule, and we are looking for help from
a contractor or consultant who has been through the implementation process
and/or audits ISO 9001-compliant quality management systems. We'd like this
person to come to our Beltsville office and take us through a 1- or 2-day
(max) workshop on the ISO 9001:2000 standard (we have a copy) and key points
and "gotchas" on implementing it. We'd like part of this workshop to involve
documenting 1 or more of our actual business processes in an ISO-compliant
fashion. Please note that this is NOT a company-wide implementation; my
understanding is that it is possible to implement ISO 9001:2000 in one
department or unit of a company.
