But you just did!
It's what everybody says, so it must be correct, eh? One of the most popular
CD [recording | engraving | burning] softwares is called Nero Burning CD
ROM. Their logo features flaming CDs flying through space. http://www.nero.com/en/Index2.htm
It's a new technology; we need some new vocab. We fish around in our analogy
pool, and what do find: Writing? Engraving? Burning?
How is more "correct" than the other, especially given the etymology of the
word "write"?
