Before this gets completely out of hand, and we get into a
socio-econo-political discussion about the ills of dope and the choices of
oral sex, I suggest we look at the apples and pears of the below-mentioned
two phrases:
"Do you smoke dope" Gee, if the company is producing a manual on how to
service and maintain airplanes and you're responsible for writing a manual
that would tell someone how to incorrectly service that said airplane,
perhaps you being stoned and giving out information to a potential user who
might then inadvertently follow your written instructions and thereby cause
a catastrophic result.
"Do you engage in oral sex?" Um, while writing? would be my question?
because if so, how multi-tasking and multi-talented are you?
Here are two scenarios that seem equivalent to me:
Do you smoke dope? ... Well, we'd like to be certain, so please pee in
this cup and hand it to the technician over there.
Do you engage in oral sex? ... Well, we'd like to be certain, so please
spit in this cup and hand it to the technician over there.
