If the programmer can't or won't change the button, then a callout to the
button in an accompanying screen shot -- something like "this is the button
referred to in step X" -- might be appropriate.

Perhaps I should have added, this is IMHO. which, after all it is, I like
using the descriptive OF "the button to the right of the" or the ellipsis
button.
