I have enrolled in graduate school (Metro State University - St. Paul, MN)
to get the experience and background that I can't get on the job and don't
have because I lack a tech comm degree.
What I like most about the grad program will be the opportunity to work
with clients outside of the financial services industry. Metro State has a
hands-on, provide-service-to-the-community-while-learning aspect to their
classes. While I they won't be teaching me tools, they will be teaching me
about processes, management, and design. It's a nice blend of practice and
theory.
