Hi, Sigrid...funny you should bring this up at this moment. During
lunch, I did a little investigating on my own.

Turns out that the other writer in the department did the Distilling
on her own machine (which has Acrobat 4) instead of the machine
dedicated to distilling (which has Acrobat 3). When the output was
opened in Reader 3, the problem occured.

When the configuration option in Distiller 4 was changed to be compat
with Acrobat 3, the problem went away.

We need to maintain 3.0 compat for 2 reasons.

1) Acrobat 4 does not allow collating multiple printed copies.
2) Some of our clients are still using Acrobat 3.

Because of this, several issues are now being addressed internally.

1) All our machines in our department are having 3.0 compatability
switched on.
2) QA is instructed to check all PDFs for delivery in both Acrobat 3
AND 4.
