Below is the apology I sent to Eric Ray regarding my posting of a message
critical of someone who had set up an autoresponse message before leaving
on vacation, which had caused a cascade of those autoresponse messages
to be sent to the whole list.
=======================================================
Being that it's the start of vacation time, I thought that publicly bringing
this matter to the attention of the list might make people think twice about
setting up an autoresponse message before departing on vacation. Admittedly,
my comments were much too harsh, and I'm sorry about that. My apologies
to anyone who was offended by my remarks.
