The options are all there. You set them with Acrobat in the Security
settings. When you save a document with Save as..., you can change the
security settings to "Standard". Here you have the following options:
* Specifying password for _opening_ the document
* Specifying password for _changing the security settings_.
Within the security settings, you have four settings you can set individually:
* Allow / forbid printing
* Allow / forbid changing the document
* Allow / forbid copying text and graphics from the document
* Allow / forbid adding and changing annotations and form fields.
So, in your case, you would have to forbid changing the document as well as

I could have sworn it was possible to create read-only PDF Docs from Word
docs. Unfortunately, when I attempt to do so I can't find any sort of option
in Acrobat 4.05, nor mention of it in the Adobe documentation. The Adobe
website doesn't mention it either.
Am I imagining things, or is it just not possible? The reason for this is a
rather meager attempt to prevent code from being easily copied (as opposed
to typed out) by competitors.
