Hello all,

I am a tech writer "Newbie"
(but a tech translator "Oldie")
and this is MY FIRST POST!

I've taken on a project for a
medium-sized software company
that entails writing documentation
for a NEW Software Dist. Mgmt. product
that will provide updated demos of
60 products to partner companies
(and salespeople).

MY QUESTION:
We've chosen an image-rich name
for the product, yet the programmers
have tentatively named the product groupings
the generic "packages."

MY PERSPECTIVE:
I'd like to extend the title metaphor
throughout (from title to various parts),
by establishing the concepts up front
(in the "Overview"). I like the power of
association the imagery can evoke --
which might make it more interesting
as a new, continuously updated, offering.
MIGHT this cause confusion?
SHOULD I play it safe and go with a generic
term like "packages?"

Thanks Much,

Bobby Kennedy
