In the sense of a search space, decisions lead to tasks. Tasks can originate
from the content or software domain. Tasks that originate in the content
domain are most likely going to be user goals. Tasks that originate in the
software domain are usually done only, because the user goal is being
accomplished using software. Saving a file is a software task. It is
entirely possible to eliminate files and still accomplish the same user
goals. The division between tool tasks and user tasks can be complicated
when the software is used to generate code, or manage a network.
