One of the best tools available is Termium from the Canadian government.

It is published four times a year (on CD-ROM), and it contains literally millions of (technical terms). We have tried repeatedly to stump Termium but just about every term and expression you could ever want is in there.

Termium also contains regional variants, helping you distinguish between the proper Parisian term and the accepted Quebecois term.
