This programmer seems to be both harassing you and creating an unfriendly
workplace. Both actionable under the law (at least in California). Just
him saying that women (or gay men or blacks or Asians or...get the drift?)
have no place in computer science opens the company you work for to biiiig
violations of federal and (probably) state laws. You might not want to
follow it all the way through to a lawsuit. But you have to let your boss,
your bosses boss and your HR group aware that this is going on, this has
been going on, and that it will not go on any more. Alternately, if you
don't want to get involved in all that...Find a new job. Now. Don't wait
for it to get any better. You can always use your exit interview to
tactfully tell them why you're leaving.

How to tell a place is similar to the Hell you're leaving? Can be tough.
Ask to speak with/interview developers, marketing people, et al. at places
you're interested in. Talk with the other writers and editors.

Good luck!
