The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
As a college instructor, this talk of degree vs. non degree befuddles me. Doesn't everyone know you don't need a degree to do anything--doctor, lawyer, technical writer, etc.? A degree just facilitates a process that could be completed by *anyone* on his/her own with the time and motivation.
A degree plan is a neat package and sells better to potential employers, but don't be fooled by the man behind the curtain.
