How about "The Complete Idiot's Guide to Marketing Basics"? It's written by Sarah White for alpha books. My copy was printed in 1997.

When I was looking for books on marketing, I found that each has a different approach. You need to know what specifically you want to learn, then go find the book to support it.

I also have a book from Microsoft Press about writing advertising for the web. I'll try and send the title in a day or two (I just moved). In the meantime, perhaps someone else can supply the title.

My question to all of you is this: Can you recommend copywriting/marketing
books? I checked the TECHWR-L site but the two books listed under marketing
didn't really fit my needs. I'm looking for something akin to "Marketing
Writing 101" (for dummies). Yes, I searched Amazon and B&N and found some
promising prospects, but nothing beats reviews/suggestions/commentaries from
people I respect!

I am confident that I can write decent content, but the project manager is
looking for a marketing flair. I've done fiction writing and technical
writing, but never marketing writing.

TIA
Kelly
