Mercedes produced a maintenance and
operations manual for a line of truck which contained no text. The
entire manual
was pictures, illustrations, and pictograms.
If this manual truely had NO TEXT, how was the mechanic suppose to set
spark plug gaps, ignition timing, valve clearances, etc. These all
require numbers. Even a table, which I usually refer to as a graphic, is
not a true graphic. It is a hybrid of text and graphic.
