For a new job, I cannot emphasize enough the art of keeping your mouth shut and simply listening so you gain an understanding of the politics and potential minefields. Most of all, just smile, do what you say you can do, and never NEVER, make any negative comments about any of the company documents. You never know which colleague is invested in them.
