In addition to advice proposed on using DragonNatSpeak as
the tool, you shall also need a proper sound card and a very
good mike, both can be chosen form a list on Dragon's site.
However, all this makes me wonder: if you are talking about
a single shot effort to transcribe about 8 hours of video
tape, would you not be better off doing it the old fashioned
way?
I can assure you that putting Dragon to work is a very time
consuming and expensive proposition - you just cannot say go
and be set up. It involves investment in hardware, software
and training which does not seem to be justifiable, unless
you intend to do a lot of VR in the future.
