Eric's correct. I didn't RTFQ.


While Marc is correct, buying an older version and then immediately upgrading is
legal and sometimes can be cheaper than buying the new version license The
advice given earlier however had no indication of buying an earlier version and
then upgrading. The advice was to buy just the upgrade (because it was a "full
install"). In this case I am absolutely right. It doesn't matter what comes on
the CD. What matters is what it allows in the license you purchased.
This also brings up a headsup to all those who consider selling older versions.
If you have bought an upgrade you usually have no right to sell the previous
versions.

'selling' an early version of an application, and advertising that it qualifies
for the upgrade price to the newest version.
