Thanks to all who've written to help.
The problem isn't section breaks or style tag formatting. (I checked those
first.) Oddly enough, when I convert the doc to PDF and print it, the
problem goes away. More Word Wierdness.
Anyway, thanks again to those who've helped, especially David Chinell, who
was kind enough to look over the doc and figure out some of the quirks.
I must close with my mantra: IhateWordIhdateWordIhateWord...
